1. Who We Are
ReadySteadySmile (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a photobooth and event photography company based in the United Kingdom. We operate photobooths and roaming photography experiences at weddings, corporate events, and other occasions.
For any privacy-related enquiries, please contact us via our Contact page.
2. What Data We Collect
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Event address / venue
- Any other details you provide in the form (e.g. event date, type, message)
We also capture photographs and videos at events where our photobooth or roaming photography service is in operation. Guests use our services voluntarily.
3. Why We Collect It (Lawful Basis)
We process your personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:
- Contract / pre-contractual steps — to respond to your enquiry and, if you book with us, to fulfil our service agreement.
- Legitimate interests — to follow up on enquiries, improve our services, and contact you about relevant offerings.
- Consent — where we intend to use images for marketing purposes (e.g. social media, website), we will seek your explicit consent.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To respond to your event enquiry
- To manage and deliver your booking
- To follow up after your event
- To send you relevant information about our services (you can opt out at any time)
- To use event photographs for promotional purposes on our website, social media, or marketing materials — only with your consent
5. Image Retention
Photographs taken at your event are retained for up to 12 months from the date of the event. If you would like us to keep your images beyond this period (for example, for continued access or personal use), please contact us to make that request. Images will not be kept indefinitely without your agreement.
6. Contact Data Retention
Personal data submitted via our contact form is retained for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. We periodically review and delete data that is no longer needed.
7. Sharing Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with trusted third-party service providers (e.g. email platforms, cloud storage) strictly to operate our business. All third parties are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with UK GDPR.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us through our Contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
Our website may use cookies to analyse traffic and improve your experience. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
